VDAY ~ BDAY

So it's that time of year again--the birthday. Every year I try not to wallow on how much older I get, but remember how lucky I am to have the people around me. I appreciate those who have been with me and who continue to be with me. I hope that everyone has celebrated their loved ones on this beautiful day.

Wings

I love winged motifs. There is something about wings and feathers and flying that I just can't love enough. I actually have a lot of dreams about flying and weirdly, I have so much control in them (get your minds out of the Freudian gutter).

Because I love them so much, I find them in my everyday life. It makes me smile a little just seeing how people interpret them and recreate them. I especially love Jeremy Scott's work for Adidas Originals. I have been following him for awhile now and only started buying his merchandise since two years ago. He also has an affinity for wings, so he recreates them in his fashion.

Blog Noob

So... I never really followed blogs until a few months ago when my friend, Y, told me about hers. It actually looked really tedious to me, but as I read hers on a regular basis, I found it to be a great medium of cyber expression. She encouraged me to start one, but I had no idea what I would write about.

I love anything aesthetically pleasing to the eye, so I will most likely write about that. What pleases me ranges from cosmetics, clothes, gadgets, landscapes, people, and food. Definitely. Food. Whether it be fine cuisine, fast food or baked goods, I will shamelessly whip out my camera to forever appreciate the food's beauty.

I guess that's a little bit of me for now. Let's see how this blog-thing goes.
